Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 14 April 2025
These terms govern your participation in Riverstone's entrepreneur finance literacy programmes. Please read them carefully before enrolling. By registering for a programme, you agree to these terms.
1. About Riverstone
Riverstone ("we", "us", "our") provides educational programmes focused on finance literacy for founders and owner-operators. We are based at Jalan Maarof 142, 59100 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You may contact us at [email protected] or by phone at +60 3 2274 5896.
Our programmes are delivered entirely as educational content. Nothing we offer — in any session, material, publication, or communication — constitutes financial, legal, investment, or business advisory services. Participants are encouraged to consult qualified professionals for their individual circumstances.
2. Programme Descriptions
The following programmes are currently offered:
2.1 Owner-Operator Reading Workshop
A two-day workshop introducing the vocabulary and basic reading skills needed to engage with simple business finance documents. The programme is educational and includes a printed reading companion. No advisory, tax, or legal content is included.
Programme fee: RM 720
2.2 Founder Reading Group (Three Months)
A three-month facilitated reading group in which participants meet biweekly to review sample business documents and accessible finance literature. Sessions are conversational and literacy-focused. The group does not evaluate individual businesses or provide advisory guidance.
Programme fee: RM 2,540
2.3 Annual Founder Literacy Track
A twelve-month structured track featuring monthly themed sessions, quarterly book-review meetings, and a printed annual reading companion. Topics rotate through standard report formats, agreement vocabulary, and entrepreneurship reading. Advisory content is explicitly excluded from all sessions and materials.
Programme fee: RM 4,720
3. Enrolment and Payment
3.1 Enrolment Process
Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment and written confirmation from Riverstone. Submitting an enquiry or expression of interest does not constitute a confirmed place.
3.2 Fees
All fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Fees must be paid in full prior to programme commencement unless a payment arrangement has been agreed in writing with Riverstone.
3.3 Payment Methods
Accepted payment methods will be communicated upon registration confirmation. Payment details will not be requested via unsolicited contact.

4.3 Postponement
Riverstone reserves the right to postpone a programme with reasonable notice. In such cases, participants will be offered a transfer to the rescheduled date at no cost, or a full refund.
5. Participant Conduct
All participants are expected to engage respectfully with facilitators and fellow participants. Riverstone reserves the right to remove a participant from a programme if their conduct is disruptive, offensive, or contrary to the educational purpose of the session. In such cases, no refund will be issued for sessions already commenced.
Participants agree not to record, reproduce, or distribute session content, facilitator materials, or printed companions without prior written consent from Riverstone.

Commercial use, redistribution, or reproduction of any Riverstone materials is strictly prohibited without written authorisation.
7. Educational Disclaimer
Riverstone's programmes are designed exclusively for educational purposes. All content — including sessions, printed materials, facilitator commentary, reading lists, and any written or verbal communication from Riverstone — is intended to build literacy and familiarity with finance vocabulary and document formats.
Nothing provided by Riverstone constitutes financial advice, investment guidance, legal counsel, tax advice, or any form of professional advisory service. Participants should consult appropriately qualified and licensed professionals before making any financial, legal, or business decisions.
